Due to tremendous interest in the Encore project, ZMG Construction is releasing the following project timeline update. Information included within the timeline is subject to change. We encourage you to check back often for updates related to Encore’s progress.

August 2012:

  • Construction expected to be complete for Trio at Encore.

July 2012:

  • Construction expected to be complete for Ella at Encore.

February 2012:

  • Construction begins on Reed at Encore, an apartment building for seniors.

December 2011:

  • Infrastructure improvements throughout the Encore site are expected to be complete.

October 2011:

  • Construction begins on Trio at Encore, a 143-unit apartment building.

July 2011:

  • Construction begins on Ella at Encore, a 160-unit apartment building for seniors.

March 2011:

  • The second apartment community to go into construction, Trio, is anticipated to be underway.

January 2011:

  • New road work scheduled to begin.

Fall 2010:

  • 350 – 400 jobs will be created to complete the 14 – 16 month infrastructure project.

September 2010:

  • Underground piping installations have begun and will continue through the end of the year.

August 2010:

  • Infrastructure permit issued and mobilization of pipe crews began.

June 2010:

  • Anticipated issue of permits.
  • Anticipated start of the infrastructure construction.
  • Clearing and grading of the site commenced.

May 2010:

  • Week of May 3 – second phone blast to all applicants updating the process.
  • Groundbreaking ceremony, May 11.
  • Subcontractors and construction manager commence hiring of key managers.
  • 80 – 100 interviews with candidates anticipated week of May 15.
  • Permitting process continues.

April 2010:

  • First contract (infrastructure) executed April 11.
  • Hiring and final qualifications of subcontractors.
  • Final contracts concluded with all subcontractors.

March 2010:

  • Job fair on March 25 for all aspects of construction. More than 5,000 applicants.
  • All job fair attendees catalogued by employees at The Women’s Centre in Tampa; Tampa’s first jobs created by Encore.
  • Phone blast sent to all job fair attendees with more than 99% of attendees reached. Phone message explained the next steps in the project and that ZMG would be in touch.

February 2010:

  • Job fair for infrastructure contractors on February 19. More than 700 applicants.
